Candidate for Beccles North

It is not about winning or losing; it is about you having a choice - where local people can choose local people.

I have a passion for our town and believe that residents should be listened to. At times we have been let down by remote party politics.

About me:

Beccles is my home and I have lived here since childhood with my parents. I completed my GCSE’s at Bungay High School. Then attended Norwich City College. I am currently employed as the manager at India Gate Restaurant Beccles.

Local issues:

I strongly support LOCAL neighbourhood planning for decisions on housing, traffic and infrastructure which MUST be decided LOCALLY - with adequate doctors, education, employment, recreation and transport. Safe routes to schools, parking and good access. There must be no closed doors to decisions.

IF ELECTED I WOULD AIM FOR:

  • Affordable housing with adequate infrastructure decided by local people

  • Safe roads and paths well maintained

  • Reducing lorries through the town and preventing driving and parking on pavements

  • Save our town’s special character

  • Improve communication and feedback

  • Restore household waste recycling

  • Providing adequate provision for people with dementia and mental health problems

  • To LISTEN and INVOLVE local people in local decisions
